Ginger Bread Christmas house...
So I have started a new painting and thought I would document my process. Idea: Christmas subject matter. It took a while and with the help and brainstorming power of my daughter we came up with this idea of Mrs Clause baking cookies with some small mini elves. That lead to Small elves making a ginger bread house with Mrs Clause. So now some thumbnails and then a more detailed value sketch.
The Wagon of Discipline...
One downside of summer is disruption. Today is Monday and this day is as good as any to get back on the wagon of discipline. I have not exercised for over four weeks now. I still have been eating right, but no exercise. I only gained 2 lbs, which is good. It seems that once I get back on board something bumps me off, a vacation, a business trip, ect. I just need to dig deep and start.

New and improved!
Thank the Lord for Wii Fit! For anyone who wants to know...I worked out using my kids Wii for 50 days then I switched over to a game called My Fitness Coach. This is over a six month period, working out 5-6 days a week in the basement for 30 minutes a day. I have completely slacked off in the last three weeks and need to get motivated again. I also changed my diet and basically I try and eat only natural things (nothing that comes in a bag or box). I have been using our bread maker to make whole wheat bread. Oats for breakfast. As many fruits and veggies my heart desires to eat 24, seven. For dinner I pig out (double portions of the side veggies), but make every effort not to eat after dinner (this is the hardest time). Also no butter and mayo. I still eat and enjoy fast food, ice cream (get a single scoop and eat it slow), but once every two weeks. Go for it get in shape, cause if I can do you can too. Believe me I do not enjoy exercise, but I am now 30 lbs. lighter!!!! The wii is great cause it tracks you daily and helps you also to keep your balance.
Fireballs and Bad guys
What fun it would be to create a giant fireball with the wave of the hands! I used my son ryan as a model for this one and my neighbor greg to pose for the bad guy. If anyone is interested in modeling for a future illustration let me know, I might turn you into a king, a queen or maybe a newt. But I am serious about needing more friends and family to pose for illustrations. Let me know.

Thank you to all the clients I had with Asplandesign.
