"Rhymes" Artwork

The work on "Rhymes" Continues... "Rhymes is a world that is loosely based upon the story of the three little pigs. The races of beings are divided up between the Brick, Stick and the Straw people. A nomad group called the "Los Lobos" seek to control the world of "Rhymes". Today here are some sketches from an area of "Rhymes" called "Brick City Train Depot".  All of this work is coming from a class called World Building with Sean Murray.

The Tortoise and the Hare

I was in the woods yesterday with the dog and was inspired...so I pulled out my sketchbook and did a quick sketch. Then I started thinking of the tortoise and the hare and put down this second idea. I will be working on a more detailed drawing of this in the coming weeks, maybe a whole painting... will see.

Bird-Dog!!!! Drawnk!

Another session of Drawnk! last night (First Tuesday of every month). You never know what the topic is until you get there. Last night’s topic was “skamatics/inventions”...I thought ug! what in the world am I going to draw. The challenge is that you have only about 2-3 hours to draw, no research, no planning, and no reference, just a pencil, eraser and paper (all supplied). So I sat down started to work up some thumbnails and jumped right in. This piece turned out really nice. I thought the vampire drawing was ok, but this one was far better. I think because this was the second time at Drawnk!, I had a better idea of what was expected. Anyhow hope you all enjoy this as much as I did working through it.
